THE BETTER AND ONLY ALTERNATIVE

In advanced and matured countries like the U.S., and those in Europe, NO CANDIDATE CAN WIN WITHOUT A GOOD PROGRAM OF GOVERNMENT OR THE SO-CALLED PLATFORM.

In the Philippines, it is opposite: CANDIDATES WON BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE A PLATFORM!

THEY HAD ONLY MONEY, POPULARITY, A GOOD APPEARANCE AND A SKILL TO FLATTER AND CHEAT.

ALL THAT THEY HAVE WERE AND ARE BLANK MIND AND GREEDY HEART!

However, like a wife who was swayed by promises of a man lacking in love, sobriety, character and competence, in this time when our people are getting more and more college-educated, and getting fed up with vote-buying only to end-up with same kind of incompetent, exhibitionist trapos, WE ARE CLAMORING FOR A BETTER ALTERNATIVE.

A BETTER ALTERNATIVE to those who made promises (rhetoric, poetic platform or campaign speeches) only to be forgotten and broken.

And a BETTER ALTERNATIVE to those who said, “I would not make promises for promises are made to be broken.”

And a BETTER ALTERNATIVE to those who bought the people’s votes at P 200.00 only to be recovered from the voters at at least P30,000.00 each voter, in three years’ time (one term of office) , in the form of price increases of at least P30.00 a day[1], by the foreign and local companies who contributed that P200.00, starting with Petron-Caltex-Shell, then, with transportation companies, then, proceeding with all other products and services in a too well-known chain of price increases. The fact is: It is better to borrow P200.00 from a 5-6 or a loan shark is better than it! For the interest of the P200 that these politicians ‘lent’ to us is at 414% interest a month, payable in 3 years! That’s super-exorbitant ‘lending’! Yeah, that’s the simple name of such inhuman act. But they call it INFLATION to have a high-sounding intellectualism and to stop the people from further thinking, trusting that their leaders are brighter than them!

Who and what is that BETTER ALTERNATIVE?

· It is a PLATFORM that contains two important elements: 1) SOLUTIONS to the People’s problems; and 2) STRATEGY-PLAN to attain the VISION (or dream, hope, desires, prayers and aspirations) of our People;

· The Platform serves as a doable promise, made NOT to be broken;

· The men (candidates) who built and advocate the Platform are men of integrity (character), competence (wisdom, education and experience) who can execute the Platform.

· Some wise MARKETING TECHNIC TO GET THE PEOPLE’S VOTES – READ: PEOPLE TO TRUST AND ‘BUY’ THE PLATFORM.

We must begin destroying the false Lord Mammon which is responsible for all our miseries! This false god – of which Jesus forewarned us never to love mammon (money and all that it can buy) but to love only God above all and our neighbor as ourselves – this sin of mammon-worship -- this modern mass idolatry is the greatest sin of the Christ-professing Filipinos! It is now MONEY (MAMMON) who rules; God no longer rules; His Laws of Love, Justice, Equity, Compassion – His way of honesty, sacrifice, brotherly love, charity – are no longer followed.

This invitation and offer is for Christian candidates who want to, first minimize the power of money and then, ultimately, make PLATFORM and CHARACTER the sole elements that make candidates win and remain in office in this country; thereby, transforming our present kingdom of man into the Kingdom of God. Good men can now start doing something; because it has been for a long time that righteous men did nothing, giving a lead-time for the wicked men to triumph. But the Lord Jesus Christ is now in the frontline, as our Commander-in-Chief!

Christ’s PLATFORM BASED ON LOVE AND WISDOM IS THE BETTER ALTERNATIVE. THE TRUE CHRIST IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE.
